But what really is PageRank?
By means of a rating from 0 to 10, Google measures the importance that a landing page has, this is called PageRank.

What criteria are taken into account in the PageRank?

This measurement was of utmost importance in its beginnings by the decade of the 2000s, however, PageRank has lost importance in the online world, and have emerged other figures of more importance as Domain Authority and Page Authority of Moz.
Importance of PageRank on web pages
The PageRank measurement was of vital importance to institute some SEO strategies. In this way, the effectiveness of the web pages was established, due to the fact that they could be positioned in the SERPS organically.
However, due to Google’s decline and the absence of transparency by this great search engine, the scores it hosts lack weight.
Therefore, today we resort to some alternatives to measure the relevance of our web page or that of the competition, discarding the PageRank.
